As of November 2024, China’s total railway network has reached 159,000 km, with high-speed railways accounting for a significant portion. China also operates an urban transit network exceeding 10,000 km, currently the longest in the world. CRRC, a Chinese state-owned enterprise, holds a commanding position in the global rolling stock market with approximately 28.7% market share. The company manufactures a comprehensive range of railway vehicles, including high-speed trains, maglev systems, urban transit solutions, and hydrogen-powered trains. Recently, the integration of composite materials into rolling stock has accelerated, driven by the rapid growth of domestic carbon fiber production and advancements in composite material technology. This paper investigates and analyzes the current status of composite material application in China’s rolling stock sector, with a specific focus on CRRC’s technological developments.
2024년 11월 기준 중국의 철도 총 연장은 159,000 km이며, 이 중 고속철도 연장도 상당 부분을 차지한다. 중국은 또한 약 10,000 km를 넘는 도시 철도망을 보유하고 있어 세계에서 가장 긴 도시 철도 네트워크를 보유하고 있다. 특히, 중국 국영기업인 중차(CRRC)는 철도차량 분야 시장점유율 약 28.7% 수준으로 세계 1위 기업이다. 중차는 고속철도, 자기부상철도, 도시철도 및 수소열차 등 전분야의 철도차량을 제작하는 제작사이다. 최근에는 중국내 탄소섬유 생산량 증가와 복합재료 기술 발전으로 철도차량분야에서도 복합소재의 적용이 확대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 중국내 철도차량분야에서 복합소재의 적용 현황을 중차를 중심으로 조사 분석하고자 한다.
